Since the septum cap of the DualSeal contains a butyl rubber layer, it is vulnerable to halogenated solvents such as dichloromethane, and after inserting a syringe needle through the septum cap, the solvent vapor will invade the septum cap. A minimum number of needle punctures is recommended.
