Application
Indirubin-3'-monoxime: A Non-Specific Protein Kinase Inhibitor
Indirubin [I0868] is an active constituent of the traditional Chinese Medicine Danggui Longhui Wan which is used for years in the treatment of chronic myelocytic leukemia.1) Indirubin-3'-monoxime is a cell permeable derivative of indirubin, and a potent inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases (CDK) and glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK3β).1,2) There are reports that indirubin-3'-monoxime induce apoptosis and tumor cell death in transitional cell cancer cell lines.3) Indirubin-3'-monoxime also inhibits LRRK2 (leucine-rich repeat kinase 2) that is a promising therapeutic target for the treatment of Parkinson's disease.4,5) (The product is for research purpose only.)
