PD 158780: A Potent Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor Belongs to Pyridopyrimidines
PD 158780 is a potent tyrosine kinase inhibitor which belongs to chemical class pyridopyrimidines. It has been characterized with respect to enzymology, target specificity, and antiproliferative effects in tumor cells. For example, it shows high specificity for inhibiting the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), and other members of the erbB family, by competitive binding at the ATP site of these signal transduction enzymes.
