Fluorescence Staining of Cell Nucleus
DAPI is an organic dye which binds strongly to DNA. DAPI emits a blue fluorescence (Maximum fluorescent wavelength; 461 nm) by the irradiation of UV light (Maximum excitation wavelength; 358 nm).
HeLa cell nucleus stained with DAPI·2HCl [A2412] has been observed by fluorescent microscopy.
